A Vermont Craftsman Dedicated to Quality Work
Vermont Custom Handrails & Metalwork was founded in 2021 by James Lambert, a master fabricator with more than twenty years of experience. Every stair and railing we install is designed, welded and finished in our Hyde Park, VT shop.
We are a Vermont owned and run shop working with homeowners, builders and architects across Vermont and New Hampshire, from the first measurement to the final walkthrough.

Most projects take 6 to 8 weeks from approved design to install depending on the season and shop schedule.

Yes. Every system is designed to meet IRC and local requirements for height, spacing and load in Vermont and New Hampshire.

Yes. We use stainless steel and high-quality exterior paint chosen for freeze and thaw cycles, road salt and heavy snow.

Yes. James works directly with homeowners, builders and architects from early drawings through final install.
